Classes & Workshops
Each writer has a unique way of seeing and experiencing life and a unique style, or “voice,” a one-of-a-kind way of expressing herself. Yet it requires practice and skill to identify and allow that voice to be “heard” through the act of putting words on paper. What makes your writing authentic, powerful, and uniquely yours? Find out in this two-course series. You can take one or both of the four-week courses; there are no prerequisites other than a desire to learn.
Part I: The Student who successfully completes Finding Your Voice Part I will be able to: Define the qualities and components of voice in writing; pinpoint the elements of her own, unique voice and define her “comfort zone;” strengthen her unique writing voice through exercises and games.
Part II: The Student who successfully completes Finding Your Voice Part II will be able to: Define backstory and describe its significance; discover some of her own, unique metaphors based on personal life experience; identify the place and power of emotion in the writing voice; describe her target audience and the importance of writing from the heart.

Journaling Through The Chakras
In this eight-week course, you will approach self-discovery and personal growth by journaling a path through the seven chakras. Wending your way through the metaphorical chakras of your lives, beginning with the root chakra (related to instinct, security, survival, and human potential) and ending with the crown chakra (related to consciousness and connection with the divine), will bring to light the various ways you experience your life. Journaling to reflect on these different aspects of your inner being, and how you experience and express your Self, can be both enlightening and healing.
